Andrew Carr Associates Ltd is an independent consultancy, incorporated in July 2008 by Andy Carr.
At Andrew Carr Associates our philosophy is to be a trusted and valuable long term resource to our clients. Integration with clients is crucial, and we pride ourselves at being able to adapt to all our clients, both large and small.
We can operate at all levels of the organisation; from board level, negotiation with third parties, to informal conversations with staff at more operational levels. You will find we can provide the necessary tailored training, problem solving and information sharing to suit your needs.
Flexibility with how you want to work
We can provide:
- short term advice of 1-3 days dependent on the nature of the work,
- be involved at an operational level in feasibility studies
- project manage parts or all of clients’ work,
- provide consulting input to programs on a daily or contract work basis,
- work as interim resource on projects on a flexible 2-4 days per week, dependent on other client work load
Andy is a chartered accountant and has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1995, the first 13 years with AstraZeneca in the UK Marketing company.
In his time at AstraZeneca he has been responsible for managing the company’s finances and staff of the Finance Dept, whilst also taking them through large scale change management projects such as SAP implementations, Sarbannes Oxley compliance, downsizing and outsourcing to shared service centres.
For 10 years Andy was also the PPRS principal negotiator for AstraZeneca with the DH, responsible for all compliance and advisory work.
Latterly, Andy held the position of Supply Chain Director for AstraZeneca and was accountable for the successful delivery of their “Direct to Pharmacy” (“DTP”) in February 2008.
Rather than progress a successful career at AstraZeneca, Andy left the organisation to support other manufacturers in making the right decisions in areas that he believes he can add value.
Since June 2008 Andy has been working on his own, and sometimes with associates, to provide a first class service to his clients. The majority of new work that Andy gets is from personal recommendations from other clients – the best of all recommendations!
